      Ground broken for SKH’s new building

      Today marked the groundbreaking for Stockholm University of the Arts’ new building in the Slakthusområdet district, which will bring all our art forms together under one roof. With this new building, we are responding to the challenges of a changing reality facing arts and culture: as AI transforms artistic practice, the labour market for cultural professionals becomes increasingly project-based, and culture plays an ever more important role in a society that is growing more divided.

    This is SKH

    Stockholm University of the Arts, SKH, offers education and research within the fields of Circus, Dance, Film and Media, Opera and Theatre. It is both one of the oldest higher education institutions in Stockholm – and one of the youngest.

      Research explores juggling beyond the circus

      How can historical sources and circus practices be used to generate new artistic knowledge? This is the question Erik Åberg is investigating in the research project 'Division Dialogues: On the Components and Practice of Juggling'. Erik successfully defended his thesis on 2 June.

      International cooperation

      International cooperation is an important part of education and research at SKH. Through an active dialogue with external partners and close cooperation with universities around the world, we strengthen the quality of our education and research and give students and staff the possibility to develop.

      Targeted study support

      At SKH, everyone should be able to study on equal terms and have the same opportunities to conduct their studies regardless of functional variation. If you as a student have a functional variation that affects your ability to study, you are entitled to targeted study support.
