    Stockholm University of the Arts, SKH, offers education and research within the fields of Circus, Dance, Film and Media, Opera and Theatre. It is both one of the oldest higher education institutions in Stockholm – and one of the youngest.

      Finding your own voice – after 36 years, Pia Olby bids farewell

      When Pia Olby began teaching at what was then the National Academy of Mime and Acting (Teaterhögskolan), she came straight from a life as a freelance cultural worker. Since then, she has helped generations of acting students find their own artistic expression. Now she is retiring, but continues to create and make music herself.

      Alumni film opened the Tempo Festival

      Angelica Ruffier, film alumna, opened the Tempo Festival with ‘La Belle Année’, recently honoured at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. The film grew out of her graduation project here at the school.

Through an active dialogue with external partners and close cooperation with universities around the world, we strengthen the quality of our education and research and give students and staff the possibility to develop.

      Targeted study support

      At SKH, everyone should be able to study on equal terms and have the same opportunities to conduct their studies regardless of functional variation. If you as a student have a functional variation that affects your ability to study, you are entitled to targeted study support.
