Welcome to the act of closure

As this circle is closing
we take a look at the beginning and we will always find chaos.

This fragment of time will be passed as a picture, a postcard, a poem in 3 chapters as an ode to all the moments spent together. Instances of joy, sweat and the endless ways this simple wheel continues to surprise.  

It never ends. Let me push you and you’ll pull me? 

Together we tumble, we stumble and finally we fall 

a holy metallic squeeking leading the way to celebration.

A signature,  
A so long 
A see you on the other side!    

Throughout this 3-year journey, in fact, the wheel has been reinventing me!  
This time, we took a dip in some color and texile.

Alva Harju Jansson 
always starts from chaos, chaos and play.  
Playful chaos.  
Following her instinct, the chaotic composition becomes strictly detailed, yet utterly free. Working curiously through these layers, she describes her practice as an onion, delicious, crispy, might make her cry. 

Her work balances, explores, rotates, leads and follows on a chaotically palyful and experimental journey through the spaces and frames the wheel offers. She has not yet discovered every corner.  

To make, experiment experience. Extravaganza  

Apart from scribbling cryptic poetry Alva spends her hours in the studio moving with her wheel, acro bike, voice and sometimes other human bodies.  

During her time att the BA circus programme at SKH she has, together with NAVET and KTH lead two different projects. Bending the wheel, explored and created a new apparatus. In collaboration with a sound designer, realised a site-specific perfromance leading her to really listening to the sound of her wheel.

She adores the surrealists, the dada, the non-sense sense, essense and presence circus invites her to experience.
