Seasons of love
Welcome to an evening at Wermland Opera where young opera singers step into professional life with excerpts from some of the most beloved works in the operatic repertoire. Enjoy music from Eugene Onegin by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, L’elisir d’amore and Don Pasquale by Gaetano Donizetti, as well as Suor Angelica by Giacomo Puccini; operas that all revolve around the power, conflicts, and consequences of love.
This performance is the students’ final project in the bachelor’s program in opera, a three-year education that combines strong tradition with a contemporary and reflective approach to the art form. Here at SKH, students develop into independent performing artists with the ability to portray both grand dramatic events and the most subtle emotional nuances.
With orchestra conducted by Andreas Hanson and direction by Patrik Sörling, Seasons of Love offers a musical journey through passion, longing, humor, and sorrow where each scene reflects a new aspect of love.
All works are performed in their original languages with surtitles.
