Intimacies and Transmutational Bodies

Intimacies and Transmutational Bodies

Petra Söör
""

Part 1: Relanomalia (working title) and Part 2: Drift songs

Intimacies and Transmutational Bodies is a research project and holding space for performance making that explores intimacy as an encounter with aliveness in all its forms, vital, fragile, in transition and transmutation. The work invites attention to bodies as shifting, relational, and deeply entangled with environment, layers of histories and deep time.

At MDT I will share work in two parts that are connected but can also be performed separately.

Relanomalia (working title) is a solo work and performative gathering that creates a sensuous space through an interplay of ritual, adornment, and gesture. Partly an ode to lost body parts, sticks, transmutable potential and prosthetic imaginations, partly a dance for.

Drift songs is an ensemble work centering drifting and lingering as relational practices, ways of being with and forming part of place for a while. Drift songs is composed through the pathwaying and actions of the participating performers carrying with them sonic traces of Skeppsholmen.
