Conflicted Embodiment: Practices of Making Public
The PhD project Conflicted Embodiment: Dancing Transatlantic Migrant Dances introduces Conflicted Embodiment as both a concept and a set of practices.
The practices comprise:
13:00–14:00 Performance practice:
Solo and Group Work session on Conflicted Embodiment
Break
14:15–15:05 Writing practice:
Presentation of the Dance-que-te-quiero-dance´s text.
Break
15:15–16:15: Transmission practice:
A Conflicted Embodiment workshop for practitioners
Practical Information
Fika and breaks: Yes, there will be both.
Documentation: There will be a camera recording the event for research purposes.
Proximity: Yes, there will be moments of physical proximity.
Touch: Yes, touch may occur, always based on prior consent.
Language: English, with interjections in Swedish, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese.
Shoes: Street shoes are not allowed in any of the dance studios at this venue. Clean indoor shoes, flip-flops, or socks may be worn inside.
The venue is fully accessible.
