Tuesday 25 March MDT
10:00-12:00: Begin your day with LipSync* led by Girts Dubults! Haven’t felt recognized for a while? Bring your headphones and your somatic desire for an emotional experience with song lyrics! Everyone is welcome, no experience is necessary.
12:00-13:00: Lunch break
13:00-14:00: Workshop From Matter to Fictions led by Dakota Comìn Cerezo and Petra Söör. Which stories does Matter activate and which are the stories that matter? This question animates study and investigation through physical practice, writing and reflecting, using this time to create fictions together.
16:30-19:00: Workshop Moving Through Stillness: Centered in Blackness, led by Luusi Kateme. This sacred, relaxed space is exclusively for Black people of African descent to come together, centre our needs, and explore what unfolds when we give ourselves space to be with our inner intuitive guidance and wisdom. !!!!This workshop has a limited number of places: please sign up!!! karin.hauptmann@uniarts.se. For those not of African descent, the MDT library will be open for discussions, readings, hanging, etc.
19:30-22:00: Hanging out in the dark - film screenings. Self explanatory! We will show some films by the illustrious Ester Martin Bergsmark, you will be sad if you miss it!
Wednesday 26 March MDT
10:00- 12:00: Morning class led by Jennifer Lacey. A morning movement class to feel better and better and also dance a lot after a long warm-up. Or maybe dancing to warm up and a long cool down.... we will see.
12.00-13:00: Lunch break
13:00-16:00: Workshop The Fantastic Institution led by Pierre Piton. What would your fantastic art making institution look like? inspired by Sarah Vanhee’s article let’s imagine a possible ONE dancing, reading, writing, touching…
16.30-19.00: Workshop Moving Through Stillness: Centered in Blackness led by Luusi Kateme. A sacred, relaxed space exclusively for Black people of African descent to come together, centre our needs and explore what unfolds when we give ourselves space to simply be with our inner intuitive guidance and wisdom. !!!!This workshop has a limited number of places: please sign up!!!! For those not of African descent, the MDT library will be open for discussions, readings, hanging etc.
19.30-22.00: Bedazzle in all the ways. A craft night with bedazzling stations (and other embellishments), that will simultaneously host open stage/ mic for a distracted audience. Come and read your most embarrassing poetry or dance your most vulnerable dance for people who might not be paying full attention.
Thursday 27 March CCAP
10:30-12:00: Expanded Pilates led by Dakota Comìn Cerezo. Exactly what it sounds like!
12:00-13:00: Lunch break
13.00-16.30: Workshop Experimenting community with the community- dance and civic practice. Led by (probably) Pierre Piton and Jennifer Lacey with input from all cohort members. How do our ethics, and love for our colleagues, dance out problems and bring problems into the room in a way that keeps us moving and paying attention? How does experimenting ‘ways of being together’ inspire both new choreographic forms and also community practices that can alleviate cognitive dissonance for the confused and alarmed citizen? Anyway we will try.
Friday 28 March 28 CCAP
11:15-13:00: Fusion Belly Dancing led by Dina Saeed Hamida. A class focusing on muscular isolations and layering. Suggested to wear clothes that allow you to see your own body movements (your best sexy bra is ok also).
13.00-14.00: Lunch break
14.00-18.00: A Meeting of Two Practices led by Dina Saeed Hamida (Tea Drinking) and Sophie Germanier (Worm). These two cohort members are invested in dances that have been culturally neglected or forbidden and the subsequent fictive re-invention they require. By engaging with their (very different) practices side by side we will open a dialogue around Where Does Dance Happen? and Who Has Access to ‘Cultural’ Dances and Where?, both through dancing and discussion.
18.00-21.00: Dance party hang out - details pending but it will be cosy and also sweaty and also perhaps stylish.
Registration
SKH Producer karin.hauptmann@uniarts.se. Attendance without registration is possible, it just helps us plan.
