The end of the dark days
Join the Master's programme in Choreography for a moment of collective exiting from our winter warrens into the sun-drenched oases of MDT and CCAP to dance together!
We have all had some hard days, living here at the top of the globe where the dark is a particular force and now the sun comes again towards us. In this event, dancing and study are considered as basic human needs that we engage in as community in heterogenous ways as a way to celebrate the end of winter and try to make sense of the world.
The MA cohort will lovingly design the days around the basic units of morning class and afternoon study as a theme with variations. This pulse of the day is a center that permits a periphery to grow and perhaps take over. This periphery can be whatever you need and want to do but do not manage to do alone: reading, delving deeper into a study, self-soothing, crafting, furious manifesto writing, cleaning your computer, napping, gossiping, spying, tending to something fragile, agitating for change etc.
This event is a chance hang out and do stuff together, either face to face, or parallel, or back to back. Here we can attend to the things we need to attend to, supported by others attending to something else. The important part is to show up, to make time, to take the bus, to put on your shoes.
You are welcome ANY time. We need you. It is free. A more detailed schedule will be provided shortly
For professionals and students in art, theater, music, dance and choreography. We will dance but it’s ok if you are new to it.
