More about the MA NPP
The master's programme New Performative Practices at SKH creates a site for active, nuanced questioning and expanded artistic knowledge. During the past two years, these artists have gathered their energies to dig deeper into their individual artistic universes and trajectories while also being challenged to interact, share, nourish, feed and feedback one another through a variation of structured learning formats for individual and collective learning.
Each student has engaged thoroughly and in-depth, finding ways to navigate the precarity of their fields in times of gross political and social challenges. They have cultivated nuanced relations with each other as artists through care and criticality, and together, they have refined this shared experience and time for their individual learning process.
In the final phase of the two-year learning process, they continue to experiment and take risks through exploratory processes to continue developing their ideas, questions, materialities and relationships in an ever-evolving and transforming field of performative practices.
During two weeks in May, they invite you to take part of thirteen presentations of artistic practice. You are welcome to participate, witness, watch, listen, share, and sometimes intimately engage with these artists’ curiosities and performative explorations in venues throughout Stockholm.
