Master Programme New Performative Practices

Master Programme New Performative Practices

The New Performative Practices (NPP) Master’s Programme invites experienced, practicing performers from diverse fields. In this education, you join a vibrant, supportive context to engage with your own artistic practice and find tools to further your research. Below you will find information regarding the programme’s content, setup and admission process.

NPP creates a site for active, nuanced questioning and expanded artistic knowledge wherein you as a performance practitioner define what constitutes your artistic practice.

As a practitioner of physical, live performance you develop new relationships to audiences, new perceptions of the performer's role in society and a critical, ethically viable relationship to the continuous unfolding of live performance.

Your development of a personally sustainable artistic practice is placed in dynamic relation to society's demands, understanding and respect for artistic practice.

NPP consists of two years of advanced studies. It is research preparatory, qualifying the student for a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography, with a specialisation in Performative Practices.

By constructively questioning established methods and focusing on the sustainability of artistic practices, the NPP education offers a space for art that challenges the commonplace.
