Start of autumn term 2025

Start of the autumn term 2025 runs throughout the whole first week to accommodate festivities, meeting your fellow students, teachers and staff. You will also receive important information so that you can find your way around SKH when your program or course starts. Here you can see the schedule for the whole week's joint events. 

NOTE! You will receive your own education schedule directly from your subject unit.

Schedule 

Monday 1 September 

Each department welcomes you as a new student.

Tuesday 2 September 

What: Welcome ceremony 14:00-16:00 PM (Check-in from 14:00 PM)
Where: SKH, Valhallavägen 189
For whom: All students and staff are welcome!

14:00 – Welcome speech by Vice-Chancellor Ellen Røed in the studio corridor

14:10 – Group 1, new students go to the D-theatre (approx. 30 minutes)

14:10 – Group 2, new students go to and around the TV studio (approx. 30 minutes)

After approximately 30 minutes, the groups switch places.

Wednesday 4 September 

What: Introduction for new students in Swedish and English (NOTE! Different times/languages)
Where: SKH, Brinellvägen 58, Studio 16, the stage
For whom: All new students

09:30–11:00 Introduction to new students – SWEDISH

13:00–15:00 Introduction to new students – ENGLISH

Thursday 5 September 

What: Common lecture about sustainable student life
Where: SKH, Teknikringen 35, Hugoteatern
For whom: All new students
Time: 13:00-16:00

Friday 6 September 

Student union activity organized by department. More information to come.
