Within Practice 2024

Within Practice lets you experience, participate, share, listen, watch and be inspired by what is at the heart of dance - the practice itself. The foundation of how contemporary dance art is created.

This year, the dance programme at Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH) participates as a curatorial partner for the festival's discussion series and as a presenting partner together with Moderna Dansteatern and Dansens hus.

In addition, Shirley Harthey Ubilla, who teaches dance at SKH, is one of this year's six invited artists. They will lead workshops and give practical presentations.

This year sees the return of the popular ‘Open Space’ format from 2018, a self-curated practice-sharing evening at SKH. On 2 October, working dance artists and students will be allowed to propose something they would like to share, be it a practice, a score, a game or a conversation. The evening will be what we fill it with, a speculative mingle.

All programme items require pre-registration and there are a limited number of places.
