Selection process
Last day of application: 15 January 2025.
Selection Part 1 takes place during the first part of February, based upon your work samples. No participation needed.
Invitations to Selection Part 2 are sent out mid February.
Selection Part 2 consists of an individual interview on Zoom 24 February–2 March 2025.
Admission results: Published on My pages on universityadmissions.se 27 March 2025.
Selection Part 1 – no participation of applicant needed
The Admission group will make a first selection of the applicants based on submitted documents and work samples. Selection 1 takes place mid February 2025. Applicants do not need to participate in this selection process.
Criteria
In Selection 1 the Admission group will look at the following materials related to your previous experience, your artistic articulation, method of work, communicability, craftsmanship and:
- your plan for a presentation of your artistic practice
- the problem/-s raised by the presentation plan
- your chosen method
- your artistic approach in relation to your primary artistic practice, training/background and professional experience
SKH can only accept presentation proposals that fit the capacity of the school to provide qualified training within the artistic field concerned. This will also be considered a criterion to be taken into consideration by SKH during the selection process.
Content
The Admission group will look at all the uploaded documentation with special emphasis on your relevant professional experience, letter of motivation, proposal for presentation of your artistic practice, and previous artistic work on film.
After Selection 1, the Admission group makes a selection of applicants that proceed to Selection 2. You will be notified of the result of Selection 1 via Varbi.
Selection Part 2: 24 February-2 March 2025
Selection 2 consists of an individual interview held by the Admission group. Invitation to Selection 2 will be sent out via Varbi in mid February, 2025.
Time and Place
Interviews will be held individually via Zoom. Each applicant attends his/her interview (maximum 50 minutes) during one day, 24 February-2 March 2025.
Aim
The Admission group wishes to discuss your plan for a presentation of your artistic practice. The Admission group also wants to learn about your working methods and artistic choices as well as your previous/current work, and artistic activities.
Assessment
The Admission group will make an overall assessment on the application and added information received at the interview based on what’s stated under Aim. After Selection 2 the Admission group will suggest which applicants that should be admitted and which applicants that should be put on the waiting list. The Head of Department will then make the final decision about admission and the waiting list.
