Meet us
You can find all our events in our calendar. We also provide information about them on Facebook, Instagram, and in our newsletter. Here's where to find us.
Open House
During the autumn, often close to the opening of applications for our programmes, you are welcome to attend our information meetings and open house events. You will have the opportunity to meet students, teachers and other staff, ask questions about the programmes, the application process and what it is like to study at SKH.
You can familiarise yourself with our premises, and there are usually opportunities to join lessons, presentations or exercises.
Saco Student Fair
Every November, we participate in the Saco student fair in Stockholm, Sweden's largest educational exhibition concept. We are there to provide you with more information about us and offer a taste of our programmes.
Collaboration
We think it is important to cooperate with preparatory stage and film educations such as aesthetic high schools and other university preparatory art schools. We welcome school classes when we have the opportunity.
We also collaborate with the professional stage and film area, which often allows you to meet us and our students. It can be student productions on stages outside SKH and at recurring events such as CirkusMania, Battle of Botkyrka, Scenkonstbiennalen, and festivals such as Tempo Documentary Festival.
Open presentations and lectures
Student presentations
Many courses are presented to an audience. It allows you to visit us and see the students' work and our premises. Some of our largest public recurring events at SKH are Departure (acting and mime), Closing Acts (circus), Scenex (performing arts) and SKH meets young people (film and media, performing arts, and acting).
Open lectures
Sometimes we open up lectures and seminars to the public. They are led by teachers from SKH or professionals from our various fields, both national and international.
SKH Dance Open Lectures
Dancers choreographers, theorists and teachers connected to SKH's dance education regularly share their work and thoughts in various forms and formats. SKH Dance Open Lectures are held once a month, free of charge and do not require a reservation.
Research seminars and conferences
We host research seminars weekly, where SKH's researchers and students share ongoing research alongside invited external guests.
Every January, we organize a research week where researchers and doctoral students present their projects. During the research week, we present research in various formats and stages of development. This may include research in its early stages or completion, an excerpt or part of a larger project, a workshop with the audience, a presentation of practice or an experiment with different exposition formats. The research week is open to all.
SKH's international artistic research conference, "Alliances and Commonalities," takes place every other year. "Alliances and Commonalities" is open to all but requires registration.
In addition to the above, you can participate in doctoral seminars, dissertations, and research presentations throughout the year. These events are continuously posted in our calendar.
