Student aid

As a student at SKH, you can apply for student aid from The Swedish Board of Student Finance (CSN). To be eligible for student financial aid, you must be studying at least 50% for three weeks or more.

Student aid is available to both programme students and students taking independent courses. The amount of support you receive depends on how long you study and to what extent, 50%, 75% or 100%. The support is divided into a grant and a larger part in the form of a loan. Read more on the CSN website to find out what you need to do to apply for student finance.

If you are a programme student with us or are taking an independent course that spans over both the autumn and spring semester, we recommend that you apply for the entire year and not one semester at a time. Remember to state that you are studying at the Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH).

As a student with citizenship in a country other than Sweden, you may be eligible to apply for Swedish student financial aid. Read more on the CSN website about what applies to students with foreign citizenship.

The semester dates to be stated on the application are as follows

Autumn semester 2025: 1 September 2025–18 January 2026

Spring semester 2026: 19 January 2026–7 June 2026
