Vilma on the swinging trapeze.

It’s one of my favorite versions:

Completely present, deeply alive

Adrenaline in the blood, joy in the heart

Playing with control and chaos,

Embracing the uncertainty.

I’m not afraid of falling

I love falling! 

It is basically just flying

towards the ground.

Vilma Suuraho

Vilma was born in Helsinki and she always wanted to learn everything in the world. Her hobbies included the clarinet, singing, theatre, football, dance, scouts, painting and jumping off the playground swing - trying to learn to fly.

Nowadays she is a multidisciplinary circus artist “specialiced” in swinging trapeze, rope, dance acrobatics, hand to hand, cradle and several other things. 

Vilma loves working with other people, finding connections between different artforms and she’s still trying to learn to fly.
