Elsa – the climate calculator – is now available for students, teachers and the external film industry. It is free to use and open source.

On Friday 30 September, the SKH was visited by 24 Vice-chancellors and deans from universities, colleges and higher education institutions in Switzerland. The visit was organised by the Swiss organisation HEM – the Association of Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) and Universities of Teacher Education (UTE).
– The group had chosen to visit very few colleges and universities during their stay in Sweden, so we feel honoured that they chose us, says Ellen J Røed, Pro Vice-chancellor at SKH.

Carolina Jinde successfully defended her artistic research project "ENHEAR" on 30 September 2022, within the PhD programme Performative and Media-Based Practices.

The call for VIS – Nordic Journal for Artistic Research issue 10 is open until 29 November 2022. The theme is “Circulating practices” and editors are Cecilia Roos and Gunhild Mathea Husvik-Olaussen.

In the spring semester of 2023 we offer courses in circus, dance, dance pedagogy, film and media, opera, performing arts and acting. Welcome to submit your application by 17 October.

In September 2022, the film calculator Elsa is being released. Elsa will help film productions get an overview of their carbon footprints and give concrete tips for planning filmmaking in a sustainable way. Elsa is part of PhD candidate Lina Persson’s artistic research project and is created in cooperation between Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH) and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH).

For the third time, Stockholm University of the Arts is hosting the international conference in artistic research, Alliances and Commonalities. The programme for the conference is now published. The conference will take place on 20-22 October 2022.

On 13-15 June, SKH Dance Education held a dance course for children aged 6-12 from Ukraine. Thanks to great cooperation and the students taking great responsibility, it was so successful and appreciated that the same course will be offered again this summer. -"We experienced so much dancing joy and warmth these three days and it was hard to say goodbye when our three days were over," says Ragni Skogsröd, one of the students behind the courses.

The International Sustainable Development Research Society Conference – ISDRS takes place between 15 and 17 June 2022 in Stockholm. This year, the conference is organized under the special topic: Sustainable Development and Courage: Culture, Art and Human Rights. Doctoral candidate Marie-Andrée Robitaille is one of the keynote speakers.
