Exhibition and 30% Seminar: Anna Heymowska
The exhibition
The exhibition is a part of a longer project investigating artistic ways of imagining the relation between the individual human and “nature”. A relation that has been both inspiring, overseen and even abusive in our materialistic culture. The project is an attempt to rewire neuro-paths and develop a visual vocabulary informed by the notion of both interconnectedness and climate change.
The exhibition in the old observatory showcases a new video-installation and hosts a reading of the essay Omphalos-The navel of the World by Anna Heymowska. The text is a poetic observation of experiencing the world from the middle, and how to navigate in darkness. It is about life events when nature uninvited, enters our lives and blurs the boundaries between the individual and the external. It all circles around an ancient stone in Delphi, a black hole and a tiny belly button.
Join us for an exclusive viewing of the work on Saturday 17 May at 20:30.
