Savas Boyraz's 80% seminar

Eye of the Mountain explores the mimetic interplay between animal, human, and machine. Presented in this 80% seminar, ongoing artistic research project unfolds through two visual works: Black Mountain and Oh My Brother, Oh My Betrayer. Showcasing a traditional folk dance, Black Mountain reflects on mimesis and visibility within a militarised landscape. Oh My Brother, Oh My Betrayer reanimates a 1933 newspaper article and an epic folk song recounting the same events from opposing perspectives.
