Klein Technique™

This course is intended for those who are interested in developing methods to deepen their artistic and/or didactic practices

Information about the course 

The aim of the course is for you to get a base in Klein Technique™ as a method for a bodily process through teacher led classes, practical exercises in Klein Technique™, dialogues, discussions and written reflections.

Teacher

Karin Munters Jameson was educated in Sweden where she was awarded a bachelor of fine arts at Danshögskolan in 1984. She continued her studies in New York at the Cunningham Dance Foundation, with Karen Levey, Emmy Devine and Irene Hultman among others. In 1993 she started studying Klein Technique™ with Barbara Mahler and Susan Klein.  Karin was a student in the first Teacher Certification Program and became a certified teacher in 2000.

Karin has been teaching and freelancing for more than 30 years and has since 2010 a position as an Assistant Professor in Modern and Contemporary Dance at Stockholm University of the Arts in Sweden. She is a recurring guest teacher at TeaK, Helsinki, Cullberg Ballet, Stockholm, Ballet de Lorraine, Nancy, Danscentrum Stockholm, IAA, Reykjavik and several other places in Sweden and in Europe.

The course is offered on two different occasions, in autumn 2023 and spring 2024. It is currently possible to apply for the course offered in spring 2024
