Handstand, Specialisation 2 - Course

This circus course is for you who wish to further develop your technique and artistic skills in handstand. The course builds on Handstand, Specialisation 1.

This circus course is an opportunity to develop your abilities in handstand.

During the course, you will meet the teacher on a daily basis. In addition, you will have an individual meeting with the teacher to establish a plan of action that is particular to your own development.

You will have access to studios for continued work in handstand on your own or together with the other students in the course.

Course structure

We offer five specialisation courses in handstand at SKH. If this is your first time applying to the courses, we recommend that you apply to Handstand, Specialisation 1.

For each course, there are higher demands in the respective syllabus, but you who start course 1 with a very high skill level will still need to work as hard as everyone else. Your tutoring will start from your current skill level regardless of whether you start on Course 1 or Course 5.

You will not end up in a group with more advanced students if you apply for a later course. All students from all five courses are mixed together in groups of mixed levels.

Teacher

Teacher Alexander "Sasha" Gavrilov, assistant professor of circus at Stockholm University of the Arts’ Department of Circus. A few years ago Sweden introduced application and tuition fees for higher education. The level of the study fees depends on which course/programme they are for, and the level is set in order to cover the actual costs of the course/programme in question. SKH has some possibilities of offering scholarships that cover the whole study fee or that subsidise it.

If you are required to pay an application fee, the Swedish Council for Higher Education needs to receive your payment by the last date forpaying the tuition fee. The application fee is SEK 900. If you are required to pay the application fee and the Swedish Council for Higher Education has not received your payment by the last date for paying the tuition fee, they will not process your application.

The tuition fee for the course is 67 500 SEK
