Ylva Hofvander Trulsson new head of dance pedagogy


Ylva Hofvander Trulsson has today been employed as Assistant Professor in pedagogy in the artistic field with assignment as Head of the department of dance pedagogy at Stockholm University of the Arts.

Ylva Hofvander Trulsson is an Associate Professor in music education, specialisation migration, and currently works as Vice Dean for Research at the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts at Lund University. Her research is interdisciplinary in the artistic field (music education, sociology of education, interdisciplinary arts and visual art pedagogy / museology) and has for a number of years been externally funded.

She has been a visiting scholar/postdoc at the University of Cambridge, at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences and head of subject at Linnaeus University (Department of Music and Art). Ylva has extensive experience of working with quality assurance in higher artistic education in both Sweden and Denmark. In recent years, she has built up the higher education pedagogical course activities at the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts at Lund University and has also been responsible for the higher education pedagogical education at SKH for just over two years.

Ylva Hofvander Trulsson is scheduled to take up her position on 1 June 2021.
