Explorations of contemporary performing arts
The first generation of MA students at the Department of performing arts presents a sample of explorations and expositions.
Over the course of two years, the students have developed their own artistic research practices, at the intersection of art practice and critical discourse.
Cross-disciplinary and experimental in its nature, this program has gathered artists from fields such as acting and directing, interactive performance/dance, music and sound design and visual performance/scenography.
Developing their independent research projects, the students have also been exposed to several discourses governing the performing arts field, such as performance studies, contemporary dramaturgy and curatorial practices.
However, the focus of the study is on the student’s individual research, some of which can be sampled in the following.
