The Department of Dance Pedagogy’s series with open seminars are for dance teachers who are interested in looking at the how in dance teaching, research and the challenges of the profession.

Practice-led, arts-based and performative research on your own practice as a dance teacher.

How do you do research on your own practice, based on your work as a dance teacher? Tone Pernille Østern is a dance artist and dance teacher who, for many years has done research, based on her own practice in the crossroads between art, the field of art teaching and the academy. Østern will give examples from her own research during this seminar. She will try practice based research together with the audience, and point out which aspects gives stability and incentive in practice- and arts based performative research on your own practice as a dance teacher.
