Activism and the performing arts

This course addresses the relation between politics and art, activism and artistic activity, and the purpose is for you to develop your practice in the performing arts.

During the course, you will develop your artistic practice in the meeting with different approaches to activism and the performing arts.

You will have the opportunity to orient yourself among different perspectives on activism and performing arts. You will deepen your knowledge of different artistic methods within the performing arts and activism and discuss their consequences. Through this, you will also explore how you can develop your artistic practice in the meeting point between activism and the performing arts.

During the course you will, together with others, discuss and problematise the potential of art to contribute to change, and discuss the ethical questions that occur in the meeting between art and politics.
