Specialisation: Performance - freestanding course

The course aims to use influential technics and theories found in performance art to map and explore concrete methods for situation specific, immersive and participatory artistic practices.

By using a number of influential performance works as a starting point for discussions - the students work to identify technics and relate them to intended and/or given effect. Parallel with theoretical discussions the students apply the technics through practical workshops. The students are asked to implement theories and methods of their choice on their individual practices through artistic projects.

Students at the Master Programme New Performative Practices have a guaranteed place.

Selection to the free standing course is carried out through a joint assessment which is based on the submitted documentation from eligible applicants. In the assessment special consideration is taken to the applicant’s own project.

  • Application and tuition fees

If you are a Swedish citizen or a citizen of another EU or EEA country you are not required to pay application or tuition fees. Some other groups are also exempt from the requirement to pay application and study fees.

A few years ago Sweden introduced application and tuition fees for higher education. The level of the study fees depends on which course/programme they are for, and the level is set in order to cover the actual costs of the course/programme in question. Uniarts has some possibilities of offering scholarships that cover the whole study fee or that subsidise it.

If you are required to pay an application fee, we need to have received your payment by the last date for applications. The application fee is SEK 900. If you are required to pay the application fee and we have not received your payment by the last date for applications, we will not process your application.

The tuition fee for the course is 45 000 SEK.
