Om Chrysa Parkinson
Chrysa Parkinson is a dancer living in Stockholm, Brussels and Berkeley, California. She has been performing and teaching internationally since 1985. Her focus is on experiential authorship in experimental dance practices. She is a Professor of Dance and directs the Master Programme New Performative Practices at DOCH/Uniarts. Her current research is on Documenting Experiential Authorship. Chrysa’s artistic practice and teaching focuses on the perspective of the performer as author, looking for the factors that create sustainable practices for performing artists in contemporary life.
